Illusion Magazine - Issue 29 Spring 2015

Spring 2015 issue 29 – Illusion magazine

Welcome to the spring issue!

If you are a seasoned painter then no doubt you are after some fresh ideas. Well what we’ve got for you in this issue will blow you away. In fact, this is possibly the quirkiest edition of Illusion that you will have ever seen. And if you’ve just got started in this industry then you’ll be needing straightforward, achievable designs that look good when you give them a try. Well, this issue has got plenty of those too.

Take a look at:

·       Jennifer Parker. We’ve been so excited about Jennifer’s new series for Illusionand finally here it is! Her Little People designs will get your head buzzing with ideas and possibilities. She shows you the options and then it’s up to you what original art you create.

·       Nadja Hluchovsky. Did Nadja’s gnome on our cover catch your eye? Just wait until you see her artwork inside. We think Nadja probably sees the human form differently from most people as she gets her models to pose in positions that transform them into animals and insects. From caterpillars and snails to starfish and lions – you will be inspired by Nadja’s art.

·       Susanne Daoud. What impresses us here at Illusion is Susanne’s incredible attention to detail. And she takes the concept of animating your art to a whole new level as she skilfully matches body shapes and dog breeds in her painting. You will have never seen anything like this Australian’s talent and even her body painting business has an original twist.

·       Cesia Landaverde. This self-taught artist tailors her paintings to her own features – her beautiful big eyes. This has led to her fabulous cartoon-style characters which are full of expression and personality. Once you’ve seen them you’ll be wanting to have a go yourself.

This issue is packed with all of your favourite things, the gallery pages where we feature the designs of our readers, 14 step-by-step designs, news of some great new products on the market. Technical articles where you can learn some great new techniques and ideas from our regular artists Sophia Leadill Taylor and Jennifer Parker.

Don't miss out on the gorgeous Spring issue of Illusion Magazine
