How to Use Brush Soap to Clean Makeup Brushes & Face Paint Brushes

Keep your makeup and face painting brushes fresh, soft, and hygienic with this simple cleaning routine.

Instructions

1. Wet the bristles with lukewarm water.
   Avoid soaking the wooden handle or metal ferrule.
2. Rub the brush gently over the brush soap.
   Move the bristles in circular motions until a soft lather appears.
3. Work the soap through the bristles.
   Massage gently to remove makeup, face paint, oils, and color residue.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
   Repeat if needed until the water runs clear.
5. Remove excess water.
   Gently squeeze the bristles with a clean towel.
6. Reshape and dry flat.
   Lay brushes flat on a towel and allow them to air dry completely before use.
